How we handle data
There is no tracking here. This page exists to say exactly what that means, because the phrase gets used loosely.
What this site does not do
No analytics of any kind. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no pixel, no tag manager, no heatmap. There is no contact form, no comment section, no newsletter, no login and no shop, so there is nothing here that asks you for anything.
No advertising, no remarketing lists, and no data sold or shared with anybody.
What happens anyway
Two things, both a consequence of how the page is delivered rather than a choice to collect anything about you.
- Fonts. The typefaces are served by Google Fonts, so loading a page tells Google your IP address and roughly what browser you are using. That is a real transfer to a third party and it is worth naming rather than glossing over. Blocking third-party requests in your browser stops it, and the site still reads fine in a fallback face.
- Server logs. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which keeps ordinary access logs - IP address, time, page, browser string - for security and performance. Those are Cloudflare's logs, kept to their retention schedule, and they are not read here.
Cookies
This site sets none. Cloudflare may set a technical cookie to tell a browser apart from a bot. There is nothing to consent to because nothing is being tracked.
If you email
Your address and your message are kept for as long as the conversation is useful and deleted on request. They go nowhere else.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to it being processed. Email [email protected] and you will get an answer within a month. Realistically the answer will be that nothing is held. If you are unhappy with how a complaint is handled you can raise it with the Information Commissioner's Office.
